Can anyone help plz? How do i install Awstats for Helm 4 ? Hi im new to Helm 4 and IIS 6 and i just need some instructions to install Awstats for Helm 4. Can anyone point me in the right direction or give me a link to a step-by-step guide? Many thanks.. |

Re: Can anyone help plz? How do i install Awstats for Helm 4 ? I have a problem. I was going through the Helm 3 procedure, when i came to the part where i have to set a scheduled task pointing to updatestats.bat file I have looked everywhere for this file and i cannot find it. Ive downloaded the latest stable version which is 6.7, and i executed the .exe to install. Cheers for any help. |

Re: Can anyone help plz? How do i install Awstats for Helm 4 ? Ive added Awstats to Helm, and enabled awstats in the services tab of an already existing domain. When i look at the useage report it says 0 for awstats installs. I cant find any button to click on to run a single install for awstats. Also is there supposed to be a AWStats button in the control panel for the users? As i cannot see one. Urrrmmm?? Any help much appreciated. |

Right ive fixed the last problem but now i have another, this is streesing now  First of all when i open the awstats button under the domain, it says my stats are located at the following address which is wrong to my knowledge: *http: //localhost/cgi-bin/awstats.pl?config=mydomain.com Ive renamed the domain here for privacy, but the localhost should say the domain ive installed it on shouldnt it? Also shouldnt it also say: *http: //localhost/AWStats/cgi-bin/awstats.pl?config=www.mydomain.com as the awstats bit is missing, and the www to call the virtual directory. Anyway so ive tried this: *http: //www.mydomain.com/awstats/cgi-bin/awstats.pl?config=www.mydomain.com and i got the following error: Error: Couldn't open config file "awstats.www.mydomain.com.conf" nor "awstats.conf" after searching in path "C:\AWStats\wwwroot\cgi-bin,/etc/awstats,/usr/local/etc/awstats,/etc,/etc/opt/awstats": No such file or directory - Did you use the correct URL ? Example: http://localhost/awstats/awstats.pl?config=mysite Example: http://127.0.0.1/cgi-bin/awstats.pl?config=mysite - Did you create your config file 'awstats.www.mydomain.com.conf' ? If not, you can run "awstats_configure.pl" from command line, or create it manually. Check config file, permissions and AWStats documentation (in 'docs' directory). -------------------------------- Any help here would be appreciated. |

As suggested by jussh AWStats Server root URL should be the URL you have configured for AWStats on IIS. Log Seperator would be just a space. The log file name format that i use is exyymmddhh.log but i dont know what number to add for the hh as YY-3 MM-3 DD-6 etc. What do the numbers represent? Many thanks. |

I think the log format may be incorrect: When i load the Awstats results for my domain it is not showing the recorded traffic. In the not viewed traffic it shows like 393 hits, but 0 in the viewed traffic. Its not even producing ip results of who has visited. Im sure it is to do with the log format. So i have looked at the log file for the domain in question, and it contains a good amount of data for awstats to produce results for. One other thing my icons at the top right on awstats are not loading for the country flags. Ive checked the location for icons and it is correct. Cheers for this last bit of help, its much appreciated. ...You was right there jissh, i added http://[$domain.name]/ and it resloved that matter. Did not use the stats. bit as im using awstats as virtual directory, but i suppose if i was using the subdomain method it would of been appropriate.
