Aeronautical bands, unlike all other bands are standard
world wide. Aircraft transmissions are of two kinds.
Civilian &
Military.
Civilian
aircraft use two bands, HF using SSB for long distances & VHF, for distances of
several hundred miles. All communications Civil and Military are in AM
A list of
frequencies used by Civil & Military airports is listed under Airfields and
believed to be current, it should be noted they may change for operational
purposes.
These include all the smaller airfields that rarely get
mentioned, they include Ballooning, Gliding, Hang
Gliding, Microlights, parachuting clubs.
